Obituary of Francis Cudney Geruso

Francis Cudney Geruso, 76 passed away on June 29, 2021 at Albany Medical Center in Albany, New York. Born July 9, 1944 in Amsterdam, NY he was the son of the late Pasco and Eloise Geruso. Frank grew up in Schuylerville, New York. Frank graduated from Schuylerville High School and attended Northeastern University in Boston, Massachusetts where he studied Engineering. Frank was employed as Vice President of Quality at Sandy Hill Corporation (1976-1987) in Fort Edward, New York. He retired as Vice President Manufacturing at Coldwell Wilcox (1987-1989) in Petersburg, Virginia. Once retired, Frank settled in Nicholson, Georgia where he owned and operated a hot dog vending cart business in Athens, Georgia serving students, faculty, alumni and patrons at the University of Georgia. Frank was an animal advocate who adored caring for his 10 small dogs at his home in Nicholson, Georgia. Frank was always available to help out anyone in need. He was best known by all his family and friends as the “man” who could build, fix, and trouble shoot anything mechanical. He was a talented wood worker and enjoyed building furniture, cigar humidors and wood-based lamps. Frank loved a good cigar, pipe, working on cars, the great outdoors, dancing, eating popcorn and all things Italian (cheese, dried meats, olives, bread, pizza, and pasta). He was predeceased by his parents, Pasco and Eloise Geruso; and his brother-in-law, Jeff Still. Frank was a loving son, father, brother, grandfather, uncle, husband and partner. Survivors include his daughter, Sherian Geruso Nolan (husband Michael); his son, Patrick Geruso (wife Carole); 2 grandchildren, Katie and Ryan Geruso; his loving girlfriend of 20 years, Diane Bradley; his two sisters, Mary Phillips(husband Dr. Roland Phillips) and Patricia Still; his ex-wife, Geri Geruso; several nieces and nephews, as well as his beloved dogs Raven and Zoe. A celebration of Frank’s life will be held at 11:30 am Friday, July 9, 2021 at Flynn Bros. Inc. Funeral Home, 13 Gates Avenue, Schuylerville, New York 12871 with Rev. Ed Kacerguis, officiating. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery. Family and friends may call from 10:30am - 11:30am prior to the service.
