Back in Nov. of 2009, I was looking at properties in the southern Washington County area, as my grandparents had a farm in Cambridge, and I loved visiting this part of the world. Leon represented several of the sellers of properties, and I always found him to be very friendly, as well as helpful in sharing information on these properties.
I did finally buy a home and continue enjoy living in southern Washington County. I have often thought of Leon as I have seen his real estate signs posted in the area. In fact, my brother mentioned that if I ever decide to sell my home......look up Leon, as he mentioned that he would do a great job in representing me as the seller.
You have my deepest condolences on his passing, and I will always remember him with fond memories of visiting lovely farms, and homes in Greenwich and Cambridge.

Leon was my next door neighbor growing up and four years older than I was. I wanted to do everything he did... sledding, skating, snow mobiling (he'd let me ride with him!), I'd watch him shoot basketballs in his driveway, he was so clever and created Halloween fright houses in the basement, we played kick the can, caught fireflies, ran with sparklers... he was the best! As we grew up, his sense of humor was matched by no one else, SO quick witted. As adults I always enjoyed spending time catching up, seeing one another at events, laughing about shared memories together. I am shocked and saddened by his far-too-early passing. He brought such joy and fun to all of us who called him a friend. Leon, you'll always be my first boyfriend (age 4) whether you wanted to agree to it or not! I'll miss you!

Leon was a neighbor and best friend, absolutely the funniest and wittiest person I’ve known. Our motley gang of teenage snowmobilers, cruising in his first car – the big bad station wagon with flashing blue lights, double dating, football games in the aisles of Barkley’s 5 and 10, Scotts Lake sleepovers, and hilarious times in JV basketball with Flex, Slinky, and Coach Barber. Leon made life fun, spontaneous, and without pretext – he was everybody’s friend. Some may find it surprising that he was the Student Council President, but watching him communicate with the School Board was inspiring – he was multi-talented to say the least. I still tell stories about Leon because he is hard to forget – he made my life better, fuller, and happier - the memories are laughs and grins and he made growing up in Salem the very best.
