Obituary of Jane Holmes

Jane “Janie” Holmes, 62, a resident of Broad St., Schuylerville, passed away Sunday, February 6, 2022 at her home surrounded by her family. Born September 3, 1959 in Albany, NY she was the daughter of the late Charles Eugene and Ruth “Peg” Tucker Rogers. Janie was a 1978 graduate of Schuylerville Central School. She was very social, loved to camp, and enjoyed spending time with her family. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her daughter, Lisa Marie Holmes; 1 sister, Joyce “Sally” Lockwood; and 3 brothers, Doug, Donald, and Anthony Rogers. Survivors include her husband of 41 years, David Holmes of Schuylerville; 3 sons, David and Sam Holmes of Schuylerville, and Paul Holmes of Greenwich; grandchildren, Parker, Rosie, Paul, Izzabelle, William, Logan; her siblings, David Rogers, Daniel Rogers, Herbert Rogers, Lyle Rogers, Mary Ramsey, Joseph Rogers, Donna Fish, Julie Mabb; as well as many nieces and nephews. A celebration of Janie’s life will be held at 1pm Saturday, February 12, 2022 at the American Legion Hall, Clancy St., Schuylerville, NY.
