To Dave and family,
I knew Jean from Schuylerville School. I carpooled with her quite a bit from Middle Falls. Jean was a wonderful human being. Kind, considerate, friendly, She would always be there to brighten my days. I know she will be sadly missed. Rest in Peace Jean.

My beloved Aunt Jean was always there for me throughout my life. After graduating from college, she found a job for me at New York Telephone. Not only that, she invited me into her home for almost a year. And while at New York Telephone she was always asking how I was doing; was there anything else she could do for me. Funny story now, but when I started at New York Telephone I worked in downtown Albany. Growing up the country, I never worried about where I parked. I carried that same mindset into city parking and accumulated a few parking tickets along the way. One day I asked Aunt Jean what I should do with these and she replied I know somebody who will take care of these for you. I found out later on it was Aunt Jean who actually paid the tickets for me. She never wanted the limelight but spent a lifetime performing these acts of kindness. I will miss you Aunt Jean. You were one of a kind.

Alberta "Jean" McPhail was a wonderful Mom, Wife, Nana, Sister, Aunt, friend, colleague, neighbor and citizen. We were all blessed to have had her in our lives. Mom's (Jean's) constant demonstrations of kindness, empathy, generosity and common-sense made her a positive example to us all. Many of her lessons will be carried forward for generations and she will be missed. Her soul receives all of our prayers and love. May God bless her and may she rest-in-peace. ~Her Son
