Obituary of Mary C. Martinovich

Mary C. Martinovich, 96, formerly of Schuylerville passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 23, 2022, at her residence in Saratoga Springs, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born November 2, 1925, in Prague, Czechoslovakia, to the late Andrew Melaga and Mary Martinovich.

Mary lived life to the fullest and especially spending time with her family and friends.  Routinely you would find her playing BINGO weekly “O 69”, shopping for clothes and jewelry, and attending her nail and hair appointments.  She enjoyed socializing at the American Legion, VFW, and Eagles Clubs, where she enjoyed her Vitamin-B “Beer”. 

Mary had a wonderful, blessed life and she will be missed by all who knew her.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband George Martinovich and sisters Ann Weir and Mildred DeGregory.

She is survived by her loving children, Karen (Patrick) Richards of Stillwater, Gary (Marilen) Martinovich of Arizona, Janet (Joseph) Williams of Saratoga Springs; grandchildren, Jason Richards and Stephanie Martinovich; great-granddaughter Autumn Richards, several nieces, and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 10 am on Saturday, August 27, 2022, at Flynn Bros, Inc, 13 Gates Avenue, Schuylerville, NY, 12871 with the Rev. Martin Fisher officiating.  Burial will follow in the Prospect Hill Cemetery, Schuylerville, NY.  Immediately following her burial, a celebration of her life will be held at Mama Mia’s Restaurant in Saratoga Springs.

Family and friends may call from 2 – 5 pm on Friday, August 26, 2022, at the funeral home.
