Obituary of Lloyd C. LaMora Jr.

Lloyd C. LaMora Jr., 80, passed away on Wednesday, October 19, 2022, in Albany, NY.

Born in Potsdam, NY, on September 14, 1942, he was the son of the late Lloyd C. Sr. and Verda (Burnap) LaMora.

Lloyd served his country proudly in the United States Navy.  He married the love of his life Mary E. LaMora in 1967.  You could always find Lloyd with a deck of cards in hand, playing Pedro and Solitaire.  Lloyd had a sense of humor and loved to make others laugh.  He loved to play the harmonica and enjoyed playing horseshoes and bowling in many leagues throughout the years. Lloyd was a kind, personable man, who was loved by all who knew and met him.   

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother William LaMora and his wife Mary E. (Hewitt) LaMora and their infant children, Jeffrey, and Jennifer.

Survivors include his brother’s Tommy and Donald “Ding” LaMora; sister’s, Janice DeShane and Bonnie LaFay, sister-in-law, Joan Fitch, several nieces, and nephews.

At his request there will be no services.

Interment with full military honors will be held in the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, Schuylerville, NY.
