Obituary of Doris Ella Denaker

Doris Ella (Sylvester) Denaker, 95, a resident of Washington Center passed away Wednesday, December 21, 2022, after a long, good life. 

She was born July 21, 1927, in Troy, NY, to the late Harry and Ella (Jones) Sylvester.

Doris was the New York Yankees number one fan.  She enjoyed collecting various Norman Rockwell plates and Hummels, as well as numerous collectible dollies.  Her favorite time was whenever she was with her family, especially time spent at their family cottage on Lake Lauderdale. 

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband George H. Denaker; son, George F. Denaker Sr. and sisters Margaret Lott and Agnes Reeks.

She is survived by her two sons, Harry K. Denaker and Bruce C. Denaker; sister, Ann Derosa; 7 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held at 11 am on Friday, December 30, 2022, in the Elmwood Hill Cemetery, 51 Belle Ave, Troy, NY, 12180.
