Obituary of Lyle H Rogers

Lyle H. Rogers, 66, passed away unexpectedly, Thursday, January 26, 2023, at Albany Medical Center in Albany, NY.

He was born September 27,1956 in Albany NY to Ruth (Tucker) and Charles Rogers.

He was one of 13 children.

Lyle moved to Schuylerville at the age of 13, where he graduated from Schuylerville High school. Even though he would move to other towns or cities he always came back and has lived here for a large majority of his life. He was outgoing and caring and would help any and everyone that he could. He enjoyed meeting new people and seeing old friends. Family was most important to him.  Even if he just met you, he would hold a conversation like he had known you his whole life. He enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing, cars and was a jack of all trades and could find out how to fix anything. 

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by Doug Rogers, Anthony (Tony) Rogers, Joyce (Sally) Lockwood, Don Rogers, Janie Holmes , Herbert Rogers, and  his partner of almost 40 years. Kim Diotte.

He is survived by siblings, Mary Ramsey, Julie Mabb, Donna Fish, David Rogers, Joe Rogers, Dan Rogers; his children, Janie Rogers, Julie Coon, Toni Diotte, Tom Diotte , Nicole Diotte, Al (Buddy) Diotte, Jessica Lee, Cagun Negretti, Mark Rogers, Tadd Robbins; grandchildren, Leila, Kahlan, Aliena, Zander, Devyn, Colton, Christopher, Tadd Jr;  and many extended family.

There will be a Celebration of his Life on Sunday February 5, 2023 at the American Legion in Schuylerville, 6 Clancy Street, Schuylerville NY at 2:00pm . We ask that everyone bring a dish.
