Obituary of Salvatore Minuto

Salvatore Minuto, 80, passed away peacefully at St. Peter’s Hospital surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday, February 14, 2023.

He was born June 8, 1942, in Sciara Sicily to the late Antonino and Cira (Fragale) Minuto.

Salvatore grew up in Sicily and moved to America in his twenties. He met the love of his life, Antonina Minuto and together they had two children.  He spent most of his life in the Bronx and moved to Greenwich with his 2 daughters seven years ago. 

He enjoyed playing bocce, cards, and enjoying an expresso with friends at the café.  For many years he worked as a union contractor.  He most notably will be known as a wonderful husband and father who always provided for his family.

Family and friends of Salvatore may call from 11 – 2 pm on Saturday, February 18, 2023 at Flynn Bros, Inc. Funeral Home, 80 Main St, Greenwich, NY, 12834.  A funeral mass at St. Josephs Church in Greenwich will be celebrated following his cremation and announced at a later date. 

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife Antonina Minuto.

He is survived by his two daughters, Cilia (Derrick) Verdon and Anna Minuto both of Greenwich; several nieces, nephews, cousins and great nieces and nephews.
