Obituary of Michael C. Jeffords

Michael C. Jeffords, 55, a lifelong resident of Schuylerville, passed away suddenly Sunday, February 19, 2023, at Saratoga Hospital surrounded by his loving family.

 

He was born December 14, 1967, in Saratoga Springs, New York, to the late Edward J. Sr. and Mary Evelyn (Hoffman) Jeffords.

 

Mike was well known in the Schuylerville community.  Many would say he was a jokester who had an amazing sense of humor, and he was the life of the party.  He met the love of his life Eva Rogers 35 years ago and together they had three boys.  His boys meant everything to Michael, he did everything for them and with them.  He never missed one of their sporting events.  He loved the water and purchased a camp on Cossayuna Lake for his family to enjoy.

 

Together with his children, many good memories were had swimming and fishing.   Mike loved rock concerts, was an avid Dallas Cowboys and Boston Red Sox fan, and enjoyed playing Michigan Rummy with family, where he always seemed to win.

 

He loved his dogs especially Lucky.  For over 25 years he worked as a machine operator for SCA Tissue in Glens Falls.  Mike was a true family man everything he did was for them; they always came first, and he will be missed.

 

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by brother-in-law, Paul Vadnais, father-in-law Don Rogers and best friend Tom Miller.

 

He is survived by his wife of 27 years Eva (Rogers) Jeffords; sons, Mike Jeffords Jr., Evan Jeffords, and Dylan (Kass Kesterson) Jeffords all of Schuylerville; siblings, Linda Jeffords, Lorraine Vadnais, Midge (Dennis) Mikkelson, Edward (Gail) Jeffords and Pam (Ron) Polmateer; mother-in-law, Janet Rogers; sister-in-law, Dawn (Vince) Palmieri and brother-in-law, Mike (Barbara) Rogers; his dogs, many friends, and many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

 

A celebration of Michael’s life will be held at 2 pm on Sunday, February 26, 2023, at Old Saratoga American Legion Post #278, 6 Clancy St, Schuylerville, NY, 12871.  Family and friends are encouraged to bring a dish to share.
