Obituary of Sandy Bain

Sandra Jean “Sandy” Bain, 80, a resident of Fort Hudson Nursing Home, passed away Wednesday, May 17, 2023, following a long illness.

She was born June 16, 1942, in Greenwich, New York, to the late William and Blanche (Clark) Bain.

Sandra loved and adored her mother and father, living and carimg for them, until their passing.  She loved dolphins and mowing lawns for neighbors on Barber Avenue.  She graduated from Mary McClellan Nursing School and worked there for several years.  Sandra was known to many as the Bingo queen, she loved to play and always seemed to win.  She loved spending time with her niece and nephew, and she will be missed.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother Bill Bain and sister Donna M. Woodward.

Survivors include her niece Amy (Tim) Branan; nephew, Philip (Toni) Woodward; great nieces, Whitney (Bill) Stanton and Alexis (Josh) Woodward; great nephew, Jeremy Boyce; great-great nieces and nephews, Lila Grace, Tessa, Indie, Kobi and Colt; sister-in-law, Arlene Bain and her children, Kelly Karp and Laura Bain.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
