Gyula was a unique individual: the mind that embraces architecture and the rigors of chess on the one hand, and that appreciates artistic aesthetics on the other, is fully formed and worth knowing. Humorous and serious at once! A paradox, a giant in a land of shrinking Lilliputians. A mensch! And now lost to us in all but memory and the example he left. My heartfelt condolences to his family, and his many friends and admirers.
