Obituary of Marion Brown Harris

Marion Brown Harris, 84, died Wednesday, May 26, 2010 at the home of her daughter in Argyle with her family by her side. Born September 20, 1925 in Greenwich, she was the daughter of the late Chester and Dorothy Woods Rogers. Mrs. Harris was a former communicant of Visitation Church in Schuylerville and Holy Cross Church in Salem. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her first husband, Edward Brown; and 2 brothers, Chester and William Rogers. Survivors include her husband, Donald Harris Sr. of Danville, GA; 4 sons, Chester Brown, Kenneth (Pennie) Brown of Greenwich, Manifred Harris of GA, and Donald Harris Jr. of Florida; 4 daughters, Dorothy Brown of GA, Marion (William) Brady of Cossayuna, Alice (Grant) Tucker of Argyle, and Cindy (David) Bain of Salem; 1 brother, Manifred Rogers of Middle Falls; 2 sisters, Catherine Perkins and Phyllis Rogers, both of Middle Falls; 13 grandchildren, Kenneth Brown, Kenneth Brown Jr., Karen McPhail, Keith Brown, William Brady IV, Heidi Vecere, Donald Brady, Grant Tucker Jr., Allison Tucker, Ethan Bain, Alexia Bain, Manifred Harris Jr., and Tia Harris; 22 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at 12pm Saturday, May 29, 2010 at Flynn Bros. Inc. Funeral Home, 13 Gates Ave., Schuylerville. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Schuylerville.
