Obituary of Edward J. Colvin
Edward J. Colvin, Sr., 67, a resident of Lafayette Street, passed away early Wednesday, July 14, 2010 at St. Peters Hospice in Albany. Born August 3, 1942 in Albany, he was the son of Edgar and Lillian Karius Colvin and was an iron worker employed by Local # 12 in Albany. Ed enjoyed hunting and fishing and was a member of the Fish Creek Rod and Gun Club in Victory Mills. He also was a member of the Sons of the Legion in Schuylerville and had attended Notre Dame-Visitation Church in Schuylerville. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a daughter Lee Ann Norris and son-in-law, William Norris. Survivors are his wife, Mary (Soncini) Colvin of Victory Mills; 2 sons, Edward Colvin, Jr. of Texas, and Andrew Colvin of Victory Mills; a daughter, Christine Drew of Florida; a sister, Joyce Mattick of Revena; 7 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and many friends. Friends may call 2 to 5 pm Sunday, July 18, 2010 at Flynn Bros., Inc. Funeral Home, 13 Gates Ave., Schuylerville, NY. A graveside service for the family will be held at 9:30 am Monday at St. Maryâs Cemetery in Schuylerville with the Rev. Martin Fisher officiating. The family suggests memorials in his name be made to General Schuyler Emergency Squad, PO Box 111, Schuylerville, NY 12871
