Obituary of Norman H. Cook
Norman H. Cook, 78, a resident of Ingersoll Rd., died Wednesday, December 30, 2009 at the Julie Blair Nursing Home in Albany. Born June 5, 1931 in Stamford, CT, he was the son of the late John and Bessie (Moon) Cook. Mr. Cook was a US Air Force Veteran of the Korean War. For many years he was employed by Northeast Utilities in Stamford as a lineman and after retiring and moving to Saratoga Springs he was a bus driver for Saratoga Schools. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Jean D. Cook who died April 25, 2009; 2 brothers, John and Stanley Cook. Survivors include 2 sons, Glenn Cook (Mary Beth) of Tiverton, RI and Jeffrey Cook (Linda) of Schuylerville; 1 daughter, Mary Ann Geiger and her fiancé Joe of Gansevoort; 7 grandchildren, Cassandra Jean, Colin, Austin, and Hannah Cook, Mackenzie, Kelsey, and Cameron Geiger; and several nieces and nephews. Interment with military honors will be held at 12noon on Wednesday, January 6, 2010 in the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, 200 Duell Rd., Schuylerville, NY. A funeral service will be conducted at 1 pm Saturday, Jan. 2, 2010 at Flynn Bros., Inc. Funeral Home, 13 Gates Ave. Schuylerville, NY. Friends may call on Saturday following the service until 3pm.
