Obituary of Darlene Almy

Darlene Almy, 61, a resident of Morgans Run, passed away Tuesday, April 11, 2017 at her home surrounded by her family and friends. Born February 26, 1956 in Saratoga Springs, NY she was the daughter of the late Earl and Kathryn Spinks Almy. Darlene was a lifelong Victory Mills resident. She enjoyed playing cards with her friends at Morgans Run, getting her nails done with her sister, and spending time at the ocean, especially at Cape Cod. She loved spending time with her family and adored her grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Robert Almy; half-brother Frederick Almy and half-sister Charlotte Almy. Survivors include her 2 daughters, Sarah Sullivan of Wilton and Andrea (Bryan) Delmar of Victory Mills; grandchildren, Alexander and Aria Delmar; brother, Richard (Judy) Almy of Greenwich; sister, Eileen (Pete) Relyea of Victory Mills; and several nieces and nephews. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10am Tuesday, April 18, 2017 at Notre Dame-Visitation Church. Burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery. Friends may call on Monday from 4-7pm at Flynn Bros. Inc. Funeral Home, 13 Gates Ave., Schuylervile. Memorials can be made in her memory to Community Hospice of Saratoga, 179 Lawrence St., Saratoga Springs, NY 12866. The family would like to thank all her friends at Morgans Run, especially Pat Johnson, for the great care and assistance allowing her to stay home.
