Obituary of Paul S. Mikkelson

~~Paul S. Mikkelson journied from this life on August 17, 2017 at Wesley Health Care Center in Saratoga Springs.

He was born to Swedish immigrant parents on October 11, 1927 in Los Angeles, CA.  His family traveled to Chicago then New York City during the depression.

His most memorable years were summers spent on the Deyoe Farm in Bacon Hill, NY as a teenager, where he met his former wife, Helen Cook Fifield.  He served in the Navy during WWII 1945-1949 and Vietnam from 1961-1965.  He retired as a plumber from Albany Medical Center in 1985 and spent his last remaining years in Schroon Lake, NY.  He loved the outdoors, hunting and fishing.

He was predeceased by an infant daughter, Laurie Jo.

Survivors include his children, Dennis Mikkelson, Marc “Jake” Mikkelson, and Sally Michel; 5 granddaughters, and 7 great grandchildren.

As per his request, there will be no calling hours.

A private graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family.
