Obituary of Stanley Bialahoski

Stanley “Stash” Bialahoski, a resident of Rucky Tucks Rd., passed away unexpectedly Thursday, December 31, 2009 at his home. Born April 25, 1930 in the Town of Saratoga, he was the son of the late John and Cecelia Bialahoski. Stanley delivered milk for years and also helped run the family farm. He was also employed by the United States Postal Service in Stillwater delivering mail for 33 years. He was a member of the Quaker Springs Fire Department for over 50 years and also served as Commissioner of the department for 40 years. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Catherine Skott. Survivors include his brother Joseph (Patricia) Bialahoski; his close nieces, Linda (Tom) Barber and their kids Joe, Sydney and Nicole, Nancy (Chris)Benn and their kids, Meghan and Matthew, and Carolyn and her daughter Leeann; his brother-in-law George Skott; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and very dear friends. Stanley will be greatly missed by all who’s lives he has touched. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10am Monday, January 4, 2010 at Notre Dame-Visitation Church with Rev. Martin Fisher, officiating. Spring burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Schuylerville. Friends may call on Sunday from 1-3pm at Flynn Bros. Inc. Funeral Home, 13 Gates Ave., Schuylerville. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate memorials in his memory be made to the Quaker Springs Fire Department, 107 Blodgett Rd., Schuylerville or the General Schuyler Emergency Squad, PO Box 111, Schuylerville. The family wishes to invite everyone to the Quaker Springs Firehouse for a celebration of Stanley’s life following the service on Monday.
