Obituary of Antoinette N. Heber

~~Antoinette N. Heber 86, passed away Monday, October 9, 2017 peacefully at Glens Falls Hospital.

Born May 29,, 1931, at home in Saratoga Springs, NY, Antoinette was the daughter of Vincenzo and Rosa Negro.

She began her career working at General Electric in Schenectady while also attending night school at the Spencer Business School for court reporting.  As she began free-lance court reporting, she quickly realized that she could not be in more than one place at a time and began asking fellow court reporters to fill spots around the area.  An idea was born and in April, 1961 she founded Heber Associates, Inc., a staffing agency filling the employee needs of companies around the region.  With her keen eye, attention to detail and her ability to plan travel arrangements for friends and family, she opened Heber Travel Service, in 1972.  Throughout the years, her business acumen also produced companies such as Adirondack Holidays, Heber Realty and Worker Resources, Inc.

She was a woman well before her time….

Throughout her life, she was very active in the Saratoga Country Republican Party.  She served as the President of the Saratoga County Women's Republican Club, and served as vice chairman of the Saratoga County Republican Committee for many years.  She was also a member of the Saratoga County Zonta Club.
