Obituary of Joseph G. Geiling Jr.

Joseph Gerald "Jerry" Geiling Jr., of Schuylerville, NY passed away on Tuesday, November 14, 2017 at his home surrounded by his family. He was 55 years old.

Jerry was born November 24, 1961 in Redbank, NJ to Aileen Grant Geiling and the late Joseph Gerald Geiling Sr. He went to Elizabethtown High School and graduated in 1980. He went on to serve two years in the US Navy. He worked as a self-employed contractor for 30 years. He was an avid outdoorsman, loved fishing, mountain climbing, spending time in Florida and at the Jersey Shore. He enjoyed providing for his loving wife and two sons. Jerry was a 46er having successfully climbed all 46 Adirondack High Peaks. He was also a participant in the Landmark Worldwide Community. Jerry was a great father, husband and man. He will be deeply missed by everyone who was fortunate to have known him.

Survivors in addition to his mother include his wife, Amy Bonati Geiling of Schuylerville, NY; his two sons, Matthew Geiling and Stephen Geiling; his three sisters Valerie (Mark) Finkle, Patty Blum, and Aileen (Joe) Martin; one brother, Grant (Betty) Geiling; mother-in-law Donna L. Bonati, several nieces, nephews and inlaws.

A funeral service will be held at 3:30pm Sunday, November 19, 2017 at Flynn Bros. Inc. Funeral Home, 13 Gates Ave., Schuylerville, NY with Rev. Martin Fisher, officiating.

Friends may call on Sunday at the funeral home from 1pm until the service at 3:30pm.
