My condolences to the family. Enjoyed many goofy games he made up back in our youth. Such as lime ball, a variation of wiffle ball. Danny also liked to mimic Lindsey Nelson, Bob Murphy and Ralph Kiner, to great affect.

So sorry for your loss. Always enjoyed coaching against Dan in JV basketball when he would bring his team up to Lake George, and we'd squeeze into our tiny elementary school gym for a pre-season scrimmage. He was a knowledgeable coach and an even nicer guy. He will be missed.

My heart is saddened to hear of Danny's untimely passing. I recall fondly the many times I sat behind his JV basketball teams and could see by his smile and hear by the tone of his voice the caring he had for his "kids, winning or not. I appreciate so much how he cared for and influenced my great nephews, Joseph and Sean Estramonte and their skills and love for basketball and baseball. Always the consummate teacher, encourager, friend, and on and on. May God comfort all his family and all of us with special memories of this special man. He will be missed. Rest in Peace, Danny. Rest in Peace.
In sympathy, (Aunt) Angie Estramonte

What a loss. As I remember Dan he was Danny to me. He was a great friend in Greenwich HighSchool. He had such a great personality. I can remember Danny always at the Blanchfield house playing cards and always winning. But you know he was just a great friend. I have been living in Texas for a long time but when I do visit home and when you see Danny it was just like old time. Heaven has a new angel. Rest In Peace my friend.
