Dear Doug and Jane,
I am so sorry I missed the notice of your mom's passing or I would have been at the funeral. Bea and mom were such great friends over many many years. Even after mom had to move to The Stanton they would call each other every day. Don't know what they talked about all those hours on the phone, but they seemed to finds things to entertain each other. Several times, when your mom was able, I would pick her up at Westley and take her to visit mom. What a great time they had together! Laurie and I spent a nice visit with her just 3 weeks before she passed. You are so fortunate to have been raised by such fantastic Christian people as your mom and dad. Do you remember all those junior choir picnics at the Battlefield? Your mom would help mom chaperone. What fun! And I still can taste her delicious boiled frosting on her chocolate cakes! She gave me the recipe, but mine never comes out tasting like hers did. Bea will be missed!
My sincere sympathy,
Nancy

My sincere sympathies to you and your wife Douglas. I'm sure you don't remember me but I am Phoebe Haas Hunt's sister and I used to clean house for your folks back in the 50s when I was in High School in Schuylerville. Your Mom and Dad were wonderful people and will always remember them. Your dad drove the school bus on our route for many years. Always had a twinkle in his eye and a big smile. God Bless you with fond memories. Rachel H. Kellogg

Doug, Jane, Deb & family,
Bless you at this most difficult time... Bea was an amazing woman who always looked at the glass being half-full & never half-empty. She was, as were you all, the best neighbors anyone could ask for. We know she is now at rest & in peace along with all those she loved, who went before her.
Please let us know if there is anything we can do.
