Obituary of Doris A. Peets

Dorothy A. "Dot" Peets, 93, a resident of Church St. in Schuylerville, passed away Tuesday, September 27, 2016 at her daughter's home on Casey Rd. Born March 5, 1923 in Schuylerville, NY she was the daughter of the late Lester and Ethel Flanders Wood. Mrs. Peets worked for many years at Sulli's Market and later Byron's Market in Schuylerville. She was a communicant of Notre Dame-Visitation Church. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Joseph Peets in 1997; an infant brother, Edward Wood; and 2 sisters, Elsie Sulli and Mary Fort. Survivors include her daughter, Jan Peets of Schuylerville; 2 grandchildren, Schuyler Woodard of Wilton and Beth Woodard of Schuylerville; 4 great grandsons, Jason Woodard, Ethan Liptak, Maxx Liptak, and Luke Woodard; as well as several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at 1:30pm Friday, September 30, 2016 at Flynn Bros. Inc. Funeral Home, 13 Gates Ave., Schuylerville, with Rev. Martin Fisher, officiating. Burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery, Schuylerville. Friends may call on Friday from 11:30am until 1:30pm prior to the service at the funeral home.
