Obituary of Harriet Kalme
Harriet Kalme, 76, passed on into the next life on Friday, February 24, 2017 after a long battle with Kidney disease.
Harriet was born in Glens Falls, NY on December 24, 1940. Harriet learned work ethics at a young age to support family. She was a dairy farmers’ wife and owner of the Mini Mart in Schuylerville for years. Harriet was all about family, her and Ascold raised four wonderful kids and Harriet became “Mother” of all the neighborhood kids. She loved being close with her family, having dinners and playing cards. At those family dinners Harriet would share her love of gardening with all types of canned and pickled items. Harriet and Ascold loved the ability to travel to Estonia, Spain, Vermont, Iowa, Florida, and Indiana. Harriet was the most caring and loving soul. Harriet lived a full life and was loved by all those around her, if others were happy, Harriet was happy!
