Obituary of James Dewey Jr.

James Dewey Jr., 86, died Saturday November 27, 2010 at his Ryan Rd. home surrounded by his family. Born at Center Falls November 5, 1924 he was a son of James Dewey Sr. and Flora Tefft Dewey. He attended the one room school at Center Falls and graduated from Greenwich Central School. Jim was a longtime dairy farmer and loved his John Deere tractors. He was an Agway committee man for 12 years and had been a 4H leader. He was also a member of the Tri-State Antique Tractor Club. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a sister Janet Watkins. Surviving is his wife of 63 years, Norma Wildey Dewey. Also surviving is; one daughter, Debbie (Dick) Henley of Cambridge, one son Ron (Shirley) Dewey of Greenwich, one grandson Adam (Tamara) Dewey and one granddaughter Holly Dewey both of Argyle. Also; two sisters, Judi (Doug) Couser and Marsha (Jack) Blake and two brothers, Hugh (Marie) Dewey and Robert (Gail) Dewey all of Greenwich. Several nieces and nephews also survive. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday December 1 at 11 AM at Flynn Bros., Inc. Funeral Home, 80 Main St., Greenwich, NY, Jean Malone of Washington County Hospice will officiate. Interment will follow in the Greenwich Cemetery. The family will be in attendance at the funeral home from 10 AM until the time of the service on Wednesday.
