Obituary of Paul Martinovich
Paul Martinovich, 93, died Friday, December 3, 2010 at Saratoga Hospital. Born July 23, 1917 in Detroit, Michigan, he was the son of the late Steven and Mary Bobal Martinovich. He moved to Saratoga County at the age of 3. Mr. Martinovich worked at United Board & Carton, American Locomotive and retired from Hollingsworth and Vose in 1981 after 28 years as a supervisor. He was a member of Old Saratoga Reformed Church in Schuylerville and was a former consistory member. He was an avid bowler for 35 years and was co-founder of the Schuyler Bowling League which is still ongoing, and was a great fan of the NY Mets. Mr. Martinovich married Dorothy Lorraine Carey January 18, 1941, she predeceased him December 2, 2003. Survivors include 2 sons, Bob (Pat) Martinovich and Dan (Mary) Martinovich; 6 grandchildren, Todd, Justin (Erin), and Stefanie Martinovich, Melissa (Steve) Heys, Jill (Brian) Strick, and Alison (Casey) Cochran; and 8 great grandchildren, Alek and Anderson Heys, Presley Strick, Charlee and Quinn Cochran, Gabriella Martinovich, Teagan and Finley Martinovich. A funeral service will be held at 10am Monday, December 6, 2010 at Flynn Bros. Inc. Funeral Home, 13 Gates Ave., Schuylerville, NY 12871 with Rev. Joyce deVelder, officiating. Burial will follow in Prospect Hill Cemetery. Friends may call on Sunday from 3-5pm at the funeral home.
