Obituary of Amelia "Millie" Brown
Amelia âMillieâ Brown, 77, a resident of King Road, Bacon Hill, died Monday. Jan. 4, 2010 at the Saratoga Hospital. Born Aug. 4, 1932 in the Town of Saratoga, she was the daughter of the late Paul and Julia (Krebs) Vidnansky, Sr. Millie had been employed for many years at United Board & Carton Paper Co. in Victory Mills and had been an election inspector for the Town of Northumberland for many years. She was a communicant of Notre Dame-Visitation Church in Schuylerville,was a member of the Ladies of St. Anne Rosary Society and the Old Saratoga Senior Citizens. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Abner Brown, a son Mickey Brown, a sister Anna Macica, and a brother John Vidnansky. Survivors include her daughter, Kathryn (Glen) Ellis of Glasgow, KY; 7 grandchildren, Teresa Brown, Jackie Brown, Brandon (Patricia) Ellis, Bobby Joe Ellis, Sabrina and Tabitha Ellis; 2 sisters, Rose Thivierge of Schuylerville, and Pauline Anderson of Utah; 1 brother, Paul Vidnansky, Jr. of Saratoga Springs, and several nieces and nephews. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10am Friday, January 8, 2010 at Notre Dame-Visitation Church with the Rev. Martin Fisher officiating. The Rite of Committal will be in the spring at St. Maryâs Cemetery Schuylerville. Friends may call from 4-7pm Thursday at Flynn Bros., Inc. Funeral Home, 13 Gates Ave., Schuylerville, NY. The family suggests memorials in her name be made to Notre Dame-Visitation Church, Pearl St., Schuylerville.
