Obituary of Jason "Jay" Kirk

Jason “Jay” Michael Kirk, 33, of Greenwich, passed away unexpectedly on July 15, 2011. Born February 22, 1978 in Cambridge, he was the son of the late Robert M. Kirk of Greenwich and Kelly Morris of Florida. He attended Greenwich Central and Argyle Central Schools and eventually earned his GED. He recently worked at Hannaford in Greenwich as a Deli Associate. Jay enjoyed sharing time with his family and his long chats with Gramma Kirk. He loved watching sports and movies, music and spending time at the ocean. He was predeceased by his father, his paternal grandfather, John E. Kirk, Sr., and his maternal grandfather, Walter E. Morris, both of Greenwich. In addition to his mother, he is survived by; his brother Joshua Kirk and his wife Crystal of Salem, his paternal grandmother Florence Kirk of Greenwich, his maternal grandmother Charlotte Morris of Arlington, Vermont, his girlfriend Patti Bertelli of Greenwich, and several aunts, uncles and cousins. The family would like to express their sincere thanks to Patti Bertelli for her support and encouragement given Jason. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, July 23, 2011 at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Greenwich, at 10 AM with the Rev. Debbie Earthrowl officiating.
