Obituary of James Conway

James Conway, 89, a lifelong resident of Easton, died Wednesday, August 24, 2011 at the Indian River Nursing Home in Granville, NY. Born March 5, 1922 in Easton, NY, he was the son of the late John and Josephine Conway Brown. Mr. Conway was a farmer and mechanic on the family farm in Easton. He worked as a mechanic for the Keniry Garage and also owned his own garage on Main St. in Greenwich for many years. He was a member of Elks Lodge #2223 in Greenwich. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his stepfather, Harrison Brown, a sister, Marion Conway, and brother, Howard Brown. Survivors include 3 nephews, David and Steven Brown of Greenwich, Robert Brown of TN; and 1 niece in Florida. Services will be held at the convenience of the family.
