Obituary of Doris Williams

Doris Williams, 83, a former resident of Bacon Hill, NY died Monday, October 10, 2011 at the Saratoga Care Nursing Home where she had resided the past few years. Born April 1, 1928 in Bacon Hill, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Helen Rugg Bean Jr. Mrs. Williams had worked for the Glens Falls Insurance Company for many years. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Kenneth Williams; daughter, Sherry Ruff; and brother, Douglas Bean. Survivors include her daughter, Linda(Clint) Barber of Bacon Hill; brother, Glen Bean of Greenwich; 2 grandchildren, Cortney (Steve Luongo)Barber and Chad (Amber) Barber; 4 great grandchildren, Claire, Chloe, and Calli Barber and Kendall Luongo. A funeral service will be held 10am Friday, October 14, 2011 at Flynn Bros. Inc. Funeral Home, 13 Gates Ave., Schuylerville with Pastor James Knapp, officiating. Burial will follow in Bacon Hill Cemetery. There are no calling hours. The family would like to thank the staff at Saratoga Care Nursing Home for the care and compassion they gave Doris while she was a resident there. Memorials can be made in her memory to the Saratoga Care Nursing Home Activities Fund.
