Obituary of Ronald F. Breen
Ronald F. Breen, 73, a resident of Jefferson St., died Wednesday, November 9, 2011 at his home after a long illness. Born February 25, 1938 in Albany, NY he was the son of the late Leonard and Myrtle Lane Breen. Mr. Breen was a proud veteran of the US Coast Guard. He was a letter carrier for the Saratoga Springs Post Office for 32 years. He was a communicant of St. Clements Church and a very active member of the Knights of Columbus Council #246. He worked with his son for many years at East Side Wine and Spirits and loved his daily visits to Evergreen Adult Day Care in Ballston Spa. Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Patricia Senecal Breen of Saratoga Springs; 1 son, Timothy M. (Brenda) Breen of Wilton; 1 daughter, Barbara A. (Robert) Hartmann of Derry, NH; 1 brother, Leonard (Helen Mary) Breen of Ballston Lake; 2 sisters, Jean (Arthur) Coppernoll and Shirley Karr, both of Saratoga Springs; 1 grandson, Breck Breen; 2 granddaughters, Erin and Sarah Hartmann; several nieces and nephews. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 9:30am Saturday, November 12, 2011 at St. Clements Church, Lake Ave., Saratoga Springs with Rev. Paul Borowski officiating. Burial will follow in Greenridge Cemetery. Friends may call Friday from 3-7pm at Our Ladyâs Chapel at St. Clements Church. In September, Ronâs granddaughters organized a team and participated in the Alzheimerâs Walk in Boston, MA in his honor.
