Obituary of Michael O. Connors

Michael O. Connors, 73, a resident of Main St., Greenwich, died Monday, November 21, 2011 at Pleasant Valley Nursing Home in Argyle. Born December 28, 1937 in Albany, NY he was the son of the late Edgar and Sarah ”Sally” Ryan Connors. Mr. Connors was a US Army Veteran serving from 1964-1967 in Germany and Washington state. He was employed by the NYS Department of Transportation for 20 years. He was a member of Local #452 in Troy and worked on the 787 Interchange in Watervliet. He was a communicant of St. Joseph’s Church in Greenwich and was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council #1239. Survivors include his sister, Ellen Connors of Greenwich; brother, David Connors and sister-in-law, Jeanne Connors of New City, NY; niece, Jacinta Kenneally of Silver Springs, MD; nephews, David Connors of Shrewsbury, NJ, Ryan Connors of Pomona, NY, William Connors of Arlington, VA; and several Ryan family and Conners family cousins. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 9am Saturday, November 26, 2011 at St. Joseph’s Church in Greenwich with Rev. Martin Fisher, officiating. Burial will follow in St. John’s Cemetery, Schaghticoke. Friends may call on Friday, November 25, 2011 from 4-8pm at Flynn Bros. Inc. Funeral Home, 80 Main St., Greenwich.
