Obituary of Paul Macklin Jr.

Paul Chandler Macklin Jr., 84, a resident of Haas Rd., died Tuesday, December 20, 2011 at his home. Born April 11, 1927 in Worcester, MA, he was the son of the late Paul and Marion Crowe Macklin Sr. Mr. Macklin was a US Navy Veteran serving during WWII and the Korean Conflict. He earned the WWII Victory Medal, American Theatre Medal, Asiatic Pacific Theatre Medal, Korean Service Medal and the United Nations Service Medal. He also attended Holy Cross College in Worcester, MA. He was an Insurance Broker for several well known insurance companies in Worcester, MA. He and his wife had also resided in Moody Beach, ME for 25 years prior to moving to Schuylerville. Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Joan M. Macklin of Schuylerville; 3 stepdaughters, Katherine (Robert) Girard of Athol, MA, Christina Austin of Exeter, NH, and Lorraine Conoby (Howard Potter) of Schuylerville; and 1 cousin, Harold Farnsworth of Northbridge, MA. Burial with Military honors will be in the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, Schuylerville, NY. There are no calling hours.
