Obituary of Joyce B. Kelly

Joyce B. Kelly, 82, a resident of Greenwich, entered into eternal life Saturday December 31, 2011 at Pleasant Valley Nursing Facility, Argyle. Born September 13, 1929 in New Kingston, NY she was the daughter of John and Esther (Gray) Ingles. Joyce served as Deputy Town Clerk of Greenwich for 32 years. She was a member of Centenary United Methodist Church and a past member of Easton-Greenwich Rescue Squad and the Eastern Star. Her enjoyments in life were spending time with her family, gardening, feeding her birds and a good cup of tea. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by 2 brothers, Frank Ingles and Ivan Ingles and her son John Kelly. Surviving is her husband George Kelly, her daughter Sharon Hewitt and 3 sons; Terry Kelly, Richard Kelly and Tim (Nancy) Kelly, a daughter-in-law Elaine Kelly, 6 grandchildren; Amy (Nick), Christopher (Stephanie), Eric (Kendra), Bradley (Kathleen Ray), Claire and Thomas, 4 great-grandchildren; Caroline, Rogan, Shea and Aidan. Also surviving is her “adopted daughter” Char Killam and John Woodard. A memorial service will be held at 2pm Saturday January 7, 2012 at the Centenary United Methodist Church, Greenwich with Rev. Sue Cox officiating. Memorials in her name may be made to the John Kelly Memorial Scholarship, at Greenwich Central School or the Pleasant Valley Activities Fund, Argyle, NY.
