Obituary of Natalie H. Beck

Natalie H. Beck, 96, a former Easton resident died Tuesday January 3, 2012 at Saratoga Hospital. Born December 24, 1915 in Easton, she was the daughter of George and Bertha (Wells) Henderson. Natalie grew up and lived most of her life in Easton. She loved working in her flower garden, keeping track of her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, local sports activities of her family and of course the Yankees. She was a graduate of Greenwich Central School. In addition to her parents she was pre-deceased by her husband Harold Beck, 2 daughters; Jeanne Clark and Carole Phinney, her sister Frances Hall and her longtime friend Ernest Dreimiller. Surviving are 5 daughters; Jacqueline Aldous of Gloversville, Andrea Powers (Rodney) of Saratoga Springs, Helene Traver of Saratoga Springs, Edris Kapper (Edmund) of Greenwich and Barbara Beck of Saratoga Springs. Also surviving are 2 sons; George Beck (Louise) of Greenwich and Edward Beck of Saratoga Springs, many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren and her brother Taylor Henderson (Elsie) of Easton. A funeral service will be held at 11am Saturday January 7, 2012 at Flynn Bros., Inc. Funeral Home, 80 Main St. Greenwich, with Rev. Clyde McCaskill officiating. There will be no calling hours. Interment will follow in the Easton Rural Cemetery. Memorials in her name may be made to the Easton-Greenwich Rescue Squad, Box 84 Greenwich, NY 12834 or the Athletic Department of Greenwich Central School, Greenwich, NY.
