Obituary of Shirley M. Lamb
Shirley M. Lamb, 80, a lifetime resident of Easton, passed away Wednesday January 11, 2012 at Albany Medical Center following a long illness. Born in Cambridge, April 20, 1931, she was the daughter of George and Alma (Pearson) Pearson. She was a graduate of Greenwich Central School and Albany Business College. Shirley was a former dairy queen of Washington County. She and her husband raised their six children on their dairy farm in Easton and retired as the Easton Town Clerk. She was compassionate and dedicated to her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and took great pleasure in attending all of the events. She was a former member of the Schuylerville Garden Club. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Edward Lamb, a brother Georgie Pearson, 2 sisters Norma Pearson and Betty Austin. Surviving are 4 sons; Edward (Joan) Lamb of Easton, Harold âCorkyâ (Melanie) Lamb of Easton, Randy Lamb of Easton and Terry (Christina) Lamb of Pittstown; 2 daughters, Judy (Don Grady) English of East Greenbush and Lisa (Richard) Anthony of Schenectady, a former daughter-in-law Deborah Daus of Easton, 15 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren and a large extended family including nieces, nephews and cousins. A memorial service will be held at 2pm Saturday January 21, 2012 at Flynn Bros., Inc. Funeral Home, 80 Main St. Greenwich, with Rev. Clyde McCaskill officiating. Friends and family are invited to call at the funeral home Saturday from noon until the time of the service.
