Obituary of Mariel Perreault

Mariel Perreault (Blanchard), 70, of Schuylerville, passed away Wednesday, February 1, 2012 at the Saratoga Hospital. Born January 23, 1942 in Lacole, Canada, she was the daughter of the late Rosario and Irma (Basaillon) Inkel and was one of four daughters. Mariel was employed by Byron’s Market (Sulli’s) for several years and enjoyed all kinds of crafts, especially knitting and crocheting. She is survived by her daughter, Beverly Everts (Douglas); sons, Timothy Blanchard (Martha), and Rodney (Zeke) Blanchard; 6 grandchildren, Vanessa Everts, Matthew Rogers, Joshua Blanchard, Timothy Richard Blanchard, Christina Taft, and Devin Hayes; 1 great grandson; a niece, Lisa Sterling whom she was very close to; 3 nephews, Jeff, Michael, and Andre Bisaillon. She is also survived by her two sisters, Nicole Bisaillon (Tim) and Louise Derby (Gene). Mariel was predeceased by her first husband, Richard Blanchard, her second husband, Nelson Perreault, and a sister Pearl Inkel (Armstrong). A funeral mass will be celebrated 10 AM Saturday, February 4, 2012 at Notre Dame-Visitation Church, Pearl Street, Schuylerville with the Rev. Martin Fisher, officiating. There will be a gathering at the American Legion Post # 278, Clancy Street, Schuylerville following the mass.
