Obituary of Bernice S. Barbur

Bernice S. Barbur, 87, a resident of North Greenwich, died Saturday March 10, 2012 at her home. Born October 9, 1924 in Argyle, she was the daughter of Leland and Ethel Clark Saunders. She attended the Argyle Country School. Bernice and her husband Roswell Barbur ran a farm in North Greenwich for many years. She was a NASCAR fan and especially a fan of Jeff Gordon. In addition to her parents and her husband she was predeceased by her brothers; Robert Saunders, Cyril Saunders, Merrill Saunders, Leland Saunders Jr., James Saunders, Don Saunders and John Saunders. Surviving are her three daughters; Judy (Jack) Lundberg of Easton, Donna (Kenneth) Granger and Bonnie (Roger) Rouleau both of Greenwich; three sisters, Minnie Minshall of Argyle, Luella (James) Smith and Rebecca (Martin) Smith both of Greenwich. Also surviving are her grandchildren; Debra (Don) Bartolucci, Connie (Chaughn) Watkins, Edward Lundberg, Eric (Gina) Lundberg, Chris (Sarah) Granger, Paul (Robyn) Granger, Tony Rouleau and Tracy Rouleau; 9 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at 2PM, Thursday March 15, 2012 at Flynn Bros., Inc. Funeral Home 80 Main St. Greenwich, NY. Interment will follow in the Greenwich Cemetery. Friends and family are invited to call at the funeral home from noon until the time of the service on Thursday. Donations in her memory may be made to Easton- Greenwich Rescue Squad, P.O.
