Obituary of Charles Waite Sr.

Charles E. Waite Sr., 67, a resident of Rock St., died Sunday, March 11, 2012. Born March 9, 1945 in Troy, NY he was the son of the late Charles and Evelyn Darfler Waite. He was a life long resident of Greenwich. Charlie was a member of St. Joseph’s Church, Greenwich Knights of Columbus, American Legion Post #515, and the Rough and Ready. He operated Charlie’s Auto Service on Main Street for many years. Survivors include his wife Carol Waite; 3 sons, Charles (Heather) Waite, David (Shaun) Waite and Michael Waite; 2 stepsons, Joseph (Malissa) Manney and Scott (Melissa) Manney; 2 sisters Kathy (Fred) Williams and Christine (Dan) Simon; 1 brother Tom (Nanette) Waite; 11 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, several nieces and nephews. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30am Thursday, March 15, 2012 at St. Joseph’s Church with Rev. Martin Fisher, officiating. Interment will follow at 12pm in the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, Schuylerville. Friends may call on Wednesday from 4-7pm at Flynn Bros. Inc. Funeral Home, 80 Main St., Greenwich.
