Obituary of Norma W. Dewey

Norma W. Dewey, 87, a former resident of Ryan Rd., passed away Wednesday, March 14, 2012 at Pleasant Valley Nursing Facility in Argyle. Born June 11, 1924 in Somers, NY she was the daughter of Ralph and Emma (Luken) Wildey. Norma was a graduate of Greenwich Central School. In 1947 she married James Dewey Jr. and together they operated a dairy farm on Ryan Rd. for many years. She enjoyed reading, crocheting, flower gardening and especially loved her grandchildren and great grandchild. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Jim and her sister Elsie Barber both in 2010. Survivors include one daughter, Deborah (Richard) Henley of Cambridge; one son, Ronald (Shirley) Dewey of Greenwich; two grandchildren, Adam (Tamara) Dewey and Holly Dewey; one great grandson Dustin Dewey; two brother-in-laws, Hugh (Marie) Dewey and Robert (Gail) Dewey; two sister-in-laws, Judy (Doug) Couser and Marcia (Jack) Blake; and several nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held at 11am Friday, March 16, 2012 in the Greenwich Cemetery. Memorials can be made in her memory to Easton Greenwich Rescue Squad, PO Box 84, Greenwich, NY 12834.
