Obituary of Richard M. Royal

Richard M. Royal, 78, a resident of Haas Rd., died Friday, March 16, 2012 at Saratoga Hospital. Born November 15, 1933 in Clifton, New Jersey, he was the son of the late Michael and Anna Yackovich Royal. Mr. Royal had a dairy farm on Haas Road. He had been employed by the Town of Saratoga and Saratoga County Highway Departments on the road crew. He retired from Saratoga County and returned to farming, raising heifers and selling hay. He enjoyed going to auctions. Survivors include his brother, Donald Royal of Winchester, VA; his sister, Diane Royal of Schuylerville; a niece, a great niece and two great nephews. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10 am Wednesday, March 21, 2012 at Notre Dame-Visitation Church, with Rev. Martin Fisher, officiating. Burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery. Friends may call on Tuesday from 5-7pm at Flynn Bros. Inc. Funeral Home, 13 Gates Ave., Schuylerville.
