Obituary of Melodee A. Haney

Melodee A. Haney, 65, a resident of Broad St., died Thursday, March 22, 2012 at Saratoga Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer. Born September 9, 1946 in Saratoga Springs, she was the daughter of the late James S. and Eleanor M. Robinson Priest. She worked as a Medical Billing Specialist at Capital Imaging Associates in Latham and owned and operated the Schuylerville Laundromat with her husband for many years. She was a former member of Schuylerville Lions Club and Old Saratoga Post #278 American Legion Ladies Auxiliary. She loved cooking, reading, and being a Wife, Mom and Grandmother. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a brother, Jerry Conkey and sister, Robin Durham. Survivors include her husband of 46 years, Robert Haney Jr. of Schuylerville; daughter Tamee (Adam) Lockwood of Schuylerville; son Robert (Michelle) Haney III of Niskayuna; 3 grandchildren, Adam Lockwood Jr., Emilee and Katherine Haney; 2 sisters, Bonnie Peluso and Colleen Aubin; 2 brothers, Mark Priest and Randy Priest; and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at 1pm Tuesday, March 27, 2012 at Flynn Bros. Inc. Funeral Home, 13 Gates Ave., Schuylerville, with Rev. Joyce deVelder, officiating. Burial will follow at 2pm at the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery. Friends may call on Tuesday from 11am-1pm prior to the service at the funeral home. Friends are invited to a reception following the burial on Tuesday at the Old Saratoga Post #278 American Legion in Schuylerville.
