Obituary of Edward E. Brownell

Edward ("Eddie") Eugene Brownell, 60, of Easton, NY, died unexpectedly on Monday, June 11, 2012. Born in Saratoga Springs on January 29, 1952, he was the son of Susanna Brownell Murphy and the late Nelson P. Brownell. Eddie had various jobs in his life, including working as a farm hand and being employed in a woodworking shop. Eddie enjoyed taking care of farm animals at the home where he lived in Easton. He was a self-taught guitar player and loved country music. He also had a collection of toy trains which he enjoyed as a winter past-time. Eddie was a person who was always willing to go "the extra mile" to help somebody. In addition to his father Nelson P. Brownell, Eddie was predeceased by his brother Louis Brownell. Survivors include his mother, Susanna Murphy, his brothers Raymond Brownell, Nelson Brownell, Robert Brownell and Scott Brownell; and his sisters Rose Morse and Susan Hoag; and many neices and nephews. A graveside memorial service will be held on Tuesday, June 19, at 2pm at Prospect Hill Cemetery in Schuylerville, with the Rev. Joyce deVelder officiating. Following the service, family and friends are invited to gather at Old Saratoga Reformed Church, corner of Burgoyne and Pearl Streets, Schuylerville, for refreshments.
