Obituary of Michael L. Lyon

Michael L. Lyon, 49, a resident of Stevens Ct., died Saturday, June 30, 2012 at Saratoga Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer. Born June 9, 1963 in Saratoga Springs, he was the son of Ronald (Wendy) Lyon of Galway and Sandra (Paul) Vaughn of Hudson Falls. Michael served with the US Army from 1981-1983 and had been stationed in Germany. He owned and operated Lyon Seasonal Custom Landscaping and M & M Mechanical in Schuylerville for many years. He was a devoted father of Eagle Scout Jason Lyon. Survivors in addition to his parents include his son, Jason Lyon of Saratoga Springs; his companion Janet Pechette of Saratoga Springs; his brother, Mark (Tracy) Lyon of Schuylerville; step-brother, Zack Lyon of Galway; 2 nephews, Brad and Shane Lyon of Schuylerville; several aunts, uncles, and cousins. A graveside service will be held at10:00 am Tuesday, July 3, 2012 at the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, Schuylerville. Friends may call on Monday from 5-7 pm at Flynn Bros. Inc. Funeral Home, 13 Gates Ave., Schuylerville.
