Obituary of Richard E. Eglin

Richard E. Eglin, 44, a resident of Homestead Rd., died unexpectedly Monday, July 2, 2012 at Saratoga Hospital. Born August 11, 1967 in Schenectady, NY he was the son of the late Kenneth and Jane Hammersmith Eglin. Mr. Eglin was a graduate of Mont Pleasant High School in Schenectady. He was a Sgt. in the US Air Force serving during the First Persian Gulf War. He was employed at Schuylerville Central School and was a member of CSEA. Survivors include his wife Angela Meislin of Saratoga Springs; twin sons, Caleb and Dale Eglin of Saratoga Springs; sister, Carol (John) Wallace of Schenectady; brothers John Hoff of Schenectady and Charles Eglin of Rotterdam; 2 nieces, Jessica (Rob) Burke and Erica Eglin; and great nephew, Mason Burke. A committal service will be held at 2pm Thursday, July 5, 2012 at the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, Schuylerville. Friends may call on Thursday from 12-1pm prior to the committal service at Flynn Bros. Inc. Funeral Home, 13 Gates Ave., Schuylerville, NY 12871.
