Obituary of Mary B. Drew

Mary Barrows Drew of Middle Falls passed away on Thursday, July 5, 2012 at home with her loving family by her side after a long battle with cancer. Mary was born on October 9, 1936 in South Corinth. She was the daughter of the late Helen (Roblee) and Neil Ives Sr. Mary worked at the Washington County Group Home in Argyle for many years before retiring. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, playing scrabble and bingo and her very special cat Henry. Besides her parents, Mary is predeceased by her husband Robert Drew Sr., her daughter June Rich and brothers Neil Jr. and Paul Edward Ives. Mary is survived by her son Stephen Barrows of Schenectady; daughter Donna Blair of North Carolina; brothers William Ives of Middle Falls, Victor Ives of Ballston Spa, Richard Ives of Pennsylvania, Kenneth Ives of New Jersey; sisters Kathy Freeburn Derway of Greenfield, Paula Ives of Ballston Spa, Nancy Citcheralle of Ballston Spa, Helene Dearborn of Corinth; grandchildren Heather Wild of Virginia, Cynthia Keys of Salem, Jill Grier of Virginia, Nicole Shinski of Ohio, Joel Chouinard and Mary Kay Schwab of Hudson Falls; 14 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. There will be no calling hours or funeral as to Mary’s wishes. The family would like to thank Washington County Hospice for all their help. Arrangements are under the direction of Flynn Bros., Inc.
