Obituary of Virginia Austin

Virginia Austin, 82, a resident of Greenwich, passed away in her sleep at her home Tuesday, August 28, 2012. Born October 13, 1929 she was a daughter of Earl and Myra (MacNeil) McGrouty. Virginia was a lifelong Greenwich resident. She did factory work for 43 years and did seamstress work at her home. She is survived by her husband Elton Austin, sons; Terry (Larry Miller) Austin-Miller, Timothy Austin, and the love of her life granddaughter, Abilene Louise Austin. A memorial service will be held Saturday, September 1, 2012 at 2pm at Flynn Bros., Inc. Funeral Home, 80 Main St., Greenwich with Rev. Stephen McLean officiating. Friends and family may call from 12 noon until the time of the service at the funeral home. Memorials in her name may be made to Middle Falls Fire Department or Easton Greenwich Rescue Squad.
