Obituary of George W. Everts

George W. Everts, 93, a former resident of West River Road, died Saturday, Sept. 22, 2012 at the Adirondack Tri-County Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in North Creek. Born October 30, 1918 in Thurman, NY, he was the son of Claude and Myrtle Everts. George was a graduate of South Glens Falls High School and served with the United States Army during World War II. He was a former employee of Hill Electric in Fort Edward and for many years operated a dairy farm in the Town of Moreau. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by 18 brothers and sisters. Survivors include 2 sisters, Leonora Wolfe of Schuylerville and Beatrice Clausen of Gansevoort. Services with military honors will be held at 12:30 PM Friday, September 28, 2012 at the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery in Schuylerville. There will be no calling hours.
