Obituary of Jean M. Darfler

Jean M. Darfler, of Greenwich, NY, passed away Sunday, September 30, 2012 at Wesley Health Care Center in Saratoga Springs. Born March 19, 1926, a daughter of Frank and Helen (Cunningham) Blanchfield. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her husband of over 30 years, Kenneth Darfler, her brothers Jack and Francis “Buddy” Blanchfield and her sister Helen Flynn. Jean is survived by her 2 loving children; Nancy (Ron) Zandri of Latham, and John (Joann) Darfler of Greenwich. Jean leaves many happy memories with her 7 grandchildren; Kylee (Tom) Ryan, Krissy (Edward) Stewart, Joby Darfler, Kory Darfler, Katie (Brian) Zandri-Church, Gina Zandri and Maria Zandri. Jean was also blessed with 5 great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be held at 11AM, Wednesday, October 3, 2012 at Flynn Bros., Inc. Funeral Home, 80 Main St., Greenwich with Rev. Martin Fisher officiating. Interment will follow at St. Josephs Cemetery, Greenwich. Memorials in her name may be made to Easton-Greenwich Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 84, Greenwich, NY 12834.
