Obituary of Eleanor Wood

Eleanor Booth Wood, 87, a resident of Route 29, died Friday, November 2, 2012 at her home after a short illness. Born November 29, 1924 on the family farm in the Town of Easton, NY she was the daughter of the late Waldo E. and Mabel Orr Booth. Mrs. Wood was a graduate of Schuylerville Central School and was an active member of the Schuylerville United Methodist Church. She and her husband operated their family dairy farm in Schuylerville for many years and she owned Wood Shed Antiques for 20 years. She loved knitting, collecting antiques, and tending to her flower garden. Her family was her pride and joy. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Thomas N. Wood Jr. who died July 20, 1977; and siblings, Silvia Coulter Bradt, Elwaine Booth, Ruth Pratt, Mary Golden, Clarence Booth, and Richard “Dick” Booth. Survivors include her children, Wanda (Sam) Aown, Thomas (Ronnie) Wood III, and Allen (Patricia) Wood, all of Schuylerville; 2 sisters, Elsie Roberts of Greenwich and Mabel Nevins of Schuylerville; 7 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at 11am Monday, November 5, 2012 at Flynn Bros. Inc. Funeral Home, 13 Gates Ave., Schuylerville with Rev. Al Johnson, officiating. Burial will follow in Prospect Hill Cemetery, Schuylerville. Friends may call on Monday from 10-11am prior to the service at the funeral home.
